Netflix: Wednesday

I have just started watching the first season of the series Wednesday The whole time I am trying to figure out if she's alive or not (also, this is not a sponsored post).

Episode 1: It's a mess and miss Adams has dropped a group of piranhas in the school swimming pool as payback to the douchebags who bully her brother and I am with her.

Episode 2: There are a few clues on the school, a few small wins and news partnerships form between your favourite investigator and her schoolmates.

Episode 3: More clues on who the monster might be, a ruined town celebration and discovery of the monster's lair. Beekeeper might prove to be a good secret-keeper and mystery solver. P.S. I like the late bloomer bubblelicious wolf - her sweet, naïve outlook is a vibe.

Episode 4: Everyone shows a little weakness - even the powerful siren whose life is about to be blown up by her power hungry mom. Loverboy's likelihood of being the monster is increasing by the second. Family day, yay! Therapy session for the family, old case comes to light and the whole family ends up in jail. The school party and moghel's thriller choreography and her family bonding moment was the saving grace...wait, never mind there are more secrets and I am getting tired.

Episode 5: I am beginning to like bubblelicious's scaredy-cat behaviour more and more because Wednesday dives in head first with no worries at all about what lies on the other side. I am usually annoyed by the heavy-breathing, whining and screaming character but this is Nevermore, most of the screaming happens because of its students. Wednesday continues on her blissfully socially unaware parade moving the pieces around to get the job done. The monster is still out and I suspect it is the red-head teacher but then again the school principal is a shapeshifter.

Episode 6: Wednesday's uncle shows up, he has zappy powers! More clues are discovered and your girl is starting to show human emotions and it is very weird (in a warm and fuzzy kind of way). Oh my days she's on a date and it is beautiful! Almost had a moment and it got ruined by the police and now Thing is dead, got stabbed and Wednesday is crying. She definitely has feelings and stuff, can't believe Thing is who brings her to life.

Episode 7: Everyone's favourite detective is about to close the case. Old roommate is back and third day is in the sheriff's good books. I can't believe I went for the obvious suspect *inserts ugly crying emoji* I knew the sweet boy was hiding something and now this. Ishushu ibhisto!

Episode 8: Criminal/monster has been caught but the first convicted felon is pissed and third day has no one in her corner to back her up. Bubblelicious is her usual emotional self and my heart breaks for her. I wish they had more time as roommates. Hold up...it looks like they have more time and thing came back to life and so did beekeeper boy!

Episode 9: Our bad, bad guy is the fake nice teacher - I hate everything! But this is also good, it means those sneaky screenwriters did their job. Bubblelicious finally wolfed out, got all murderous and wolfy kick-ass and it was glorious! Spooky burn-all-witches dude from the dead got sent back to hell and Nevermore saved itself. Things are on the mend and your girl has a phone - she's a bit medieval about technology. Honestly, she spent season 1 on a type writer or jotting things down on a diary. Last scene shows her going home and Tyler bound by chains in a police car. I have so many questions and I have been careful enough not to look for the new plot on what happens in season two. That was actually good!

Wait a minute, I am celebrating a happy ending and from a series I thought would give me nightmares?

Okay Netflix, send me my money!
