The Witcher season 2 is another series I avoided watching because I wasn't ready for the new storyline and the all scary almost fatal things that were about to happen to my favourite fictional people.
Our destiny-father-daughter duo finally reunited while Yenn was enslaved after sacrificing herself and losing her powers. After going to ...where Geralt grew up and mutated to a Witcher, Ciri meets the squad and starts training and shares a bit about her powers. There's some monster slaying and betrayals.
The highlight is of course ol' girl using her powers and she together with everyone else realising just how powerful she is. Yenn finds her way back and the family is complete *a moment of silence, please* Everyone is starry-eyed for a second before realising Yenn lost her powers and is about to smash and grab Ciri's hehehe...they teleport a little bit and Geralt gets into daddy-mode and protects his young.
Geralt reunites with a certain humble bard and the soured bromance continues - when I tell you I was so happy to these two on screen! The jabs in the new songs were as hilarious as ever and ya boy was still outtchere charming crowds and collecting some coins.
The end of season 2 comes with The Wild Hunt pulling up Dothraki style from another dimension ready to Ned Stark everyone. I am freaking out and ready for season 3!
This is the only one of all my current favourite series that I am still experiencing withdrawal syndrome from months after watching it and I haven't dared to re-watch season two.
I haven't really read the books (started and stopped) and I am not a gamer, sorry if you were looking for a critic from those two origin materials. I'm here for the enjoyment of the series *awkwardly waves white flag*
