This is important!
I finally watched the latest season of Never Have I Ever after re-watching the second season multiple times for comfort and because I wasn't ready for the drama and mess I knew would ensue.
Highlights/Spoilers: Devi finally got into a relationship with her crush, got dumped, moved on and grew a little and as per usual - drama!
Devi met a beautiful desi boy, her dad's ghost showed up and then the desi boyfriend's mom made him break-up with her. Devi and her mom grew closer; AFTER SHE TOLD THE OTHER DESI MOM OFF; best tender moment ever (fight me on this one)!
Highlight of the season was new queer love interest for Fabiola after she had the most amicable break-up with Anita (low-key made me understand why some girls remain friends with their exes in the queer community - I said understand it, not condone it). Anway, chile...Trent and Eleanor's romance was the best comedic relief ever (living vicariously through them)! If I had one wish, I'd be Trent on the series (but more like a TA Sub from Africa)! He gets to exist and have fun in the most oblivious way *inserts jealous ugly crying emoji*
Ex-boyfriend, aka hot bf Paxton grew a lot, became somewhat a friend, started valuing hard work and gave a wonderful senior year speech (and a young shout out to Devi).
Ben gave a small confession, there was an almost moment and Paxton ruined it before things could develop.
Our fav desi teenage lead is afraid to leave home and not be with her friends for the her senior year of high school - cue the montage where she gets to appreciate all the beautiful moments she's had with her mom. And that last scene involving the handwritten note between Devi and Ben *I uhm...don't want to talk about it*
On a serious note, Devi's emotional maturity and her liking and believing in herself more was the best thing about this season.
What wholesomeness is this? *inserts another ugly crying emoji*
Is there any comedy/drama series you've been enjoying lately?
