Breakfast at Tashas

I spent my Saturday morning in Constantia and it was my first time in that part of Cape Town despite having driven though the area several times.

I decided to opt for a carb-loaded breakfast with a Classic French Toast (with the berry compote and syrup), scrambled eggs and chai latte (which is unusual for me because I don't eat breakfast but I decided to give it a go). I have been craving bread a lot lately and I suspect it has to do with my more consistent exercising efforts (reminder to search for more nutritious post-workout options).

I had heard about Tasha's mostly from people based in Joburg and the only reason we ended up going there was because the original restaurant my friend wanted was a bit crowded for my comfort. And it's all to be expected, weekends are family days. Anywho, the place was clean and some comfy understated décor. The waiters were attentive and fast and the food was amazing - that was the lightest, fluffiest french toast I have ever tasted - I felt like a kid because the meal tasted more like dessert than actual breakfast.

Grateful for friends who understand that a walk and a breakfast catch-up on a Saturday morning is exactly what makes for an awesome weekend (I spent the rest of my day attending to other commitments).

Feel free to check out Tashas Café, Constantia and share your experience here or via my social media accounts.

Have a lovely week ahead.
