I have been taking stock of what works, what doesn't and my go-to products throughout the years as my skin and seasons change. Ponds products are my maintenance choice for this year’s winter and it is not surprising as I have been using their products on and off over the past 15 years (since high school). Getting older has me valuing moisturised, glowing and somewhat even skin over mattified skin.
The range is relatively affordable compared to other skincare products and I have kept going back to the Ponds Flawless Radiance Range from Clicks because it works when it comes to maintaining my skin in winter and keeping it moisturised. The range is said to be effective in rejuvenating your skin and evening out blemishes but moisture has been the only benefit I get from using the range and that works just fine as I do not get a lot of acne flare-ups in winter. And I always cop it during their 3for2 promotions!
I have also had to learn to mix and match different brands according to my skin needs and I have been using the Nature’s Nourishment Rosewater from Dischem as a toner upon recommendation by a former colleague (with the most glowing skin ever) back in 2017. Unlike most toners which burn my skin and leave it red and tight, this gentle toner leaves my skin feeling soft and slightly moisturised. The Clean & Clear facial cleansing bar was a month end accidental find and I have kept it because it works well for my oily T-zone.
